Using FPBX 17 distro build. Reused old client phones, mix of Polycom IP 550s (about 20) and 3 Fanvil X210 for the receptionists. The polycoms work as expected. On the Fanvils, Im happy to make changes through the endpoint module, or manual on the phones because there are only 3.
Problem is call parking is not working right. What the client actually wants is ability to hit a button to park call on “SP1” or “SP2” - like they did on their old 3CX box. Ive tried all the various button options - park, transfer, blind transfer, speed dial. Ive tried to make it point at 70, as well as directly to 71 and 72. All calls just go on hold and never actually finish the park.
The only thing that sort of works, but not acceptable long term, is a setting the first one as a “memory key” to 70. What it does is park the call - but Allisons voice tells the inbound caller where it is parked - not the receptionist. A speed dial button for 71 then does pickup the call.
Not sure what i am doing wrong with these phones - its obnoxious that the customer will hear “71” and then the hold music, and the receptionists will get confused as to where the call is parked if more than one is handling a call.
Any ideas? This is my first time with Fanvil phones and I have to say… not a fan…
