Gap between two ringgroups

Hi everyone,

I configured two ringgroups. The second one is failover destination of the first one and contains the same Extension as the first one and some more.

After the maximum ring time the call is transferred from the first ringgroup to the second one.In this moment the phones show “Call ended” and after about one second they are ringing again with the new ringgroup.

For some users that is confusing if they want to anser the call in the moment it ist tranferred to the other ringgroup.

Is there any way to avoid this gap between the two ringgroups?

I don’t believe it is possible with FreePBX. With Asterisk, you could make the extra destinations local channels, and start them with Wait(…).

I think Queues module is more suitable for your case. there has more control over agents and calls.

Building on the excellent ideas presented already, you could create a feature code you can prefix extension numbers with that inserts the delay.
