Does Freepbx come with the right to use G729? If not does anyone know how we can get a license to use it?

Technically, you should also be covered if you buy a license from either Digium or Synapse Global and then use the open source G729 implementation (http://www.opentelecoms.org/codecs-open-source-g729-g723.1-asterisk).
You have to purchase the licenses at the Digium Asterisk store.
