@nobby6 has filed a feature request here
https://issues.freepbx.org/browse/FREEPBX-22683
There is probably enough information there for someone to test and confirm it works. FTP with tls comes up only rarely (if ever), so if this is something you would use if provided, please make it known here or vote the ticket.

FTPS is better than FTP.
Allowing proper ssh key use would be a better feature. I know there is a bug report on that already also.

I use ssh filestore with key auth. It seems to work fine, so Iām curious, what is the bug?

scp will work fine OOTB without needing the complications of sftp. Are you using Windoze ? if so there is WSL that will fix you up handily.

I thought the FTP already did use TLS, you mean it does not? yes it is very much needed, I need to shut our backups, we are not GDPR compliant it seems.

It only work with RSA keys. It is hard coded.
I do not use RSA keys anywhere. Have not for years.

That would be FTPS not FTP.

Thanks to a PR from @jfinstrom , FTPs option is now present in Filestore versions 15.0.3.23 and 16.0.10.3.
