FreePBX won't fail the call if the number is not active


I have this issue where the FreePBX won’t say the call has failed because the number is not active. I call the number on my mobile and I get a “Called failed”. I call on using my handset it just continues calling without any ringing and then after a while it does starting ringing then “Time out” after about 3 minutes.

Is there away to get the PBX to say the “Called Failed” on the handset?

Is it an internal (to the PBX) number that your calling?

That would depend on the ‘hangup cause’ your carrier sends. You need to post a log of a failed call
