As it says.
No headlines no info not nothing.
What is going on here?
Tried my usual weekly updates to the OS.
And it’s going to upgrade to Debian 13.
Unless I halt this.
Which I did.
Found the post.
In a subcategory.
This should be a headline at the top everywhere in the forum no?
I’m not seeing any of the forum headers/banners and I have not dismissed them.
Also nothing at all in the FreePBX dashboard about it.
I’m fine as I didn’t proceed with the update.
What about clean new installs? is that going to also try to upgrade to 13?
Before you even get to the install script (which I’m sure has added this). by now.
But might be too late.
Guessing there is an option to not do this during install also so long as you pay attention.
I’ve not tested this yet.
I’ll bet the nudge to upgrade during install is either either very strong or very subtle.
Will find out.
Despite everything in my sources.list having been referring to “bookworm” is was still trying to upgrade.
And it was NOT obvious on how to actually still update Debian 12 WITHOUT the upgrade to 13.
As posted : this seems to be the fix for now.
Maybe the update modules in the webui could somehow push this (if it does not already).
Also there is NO notice int the FreePBX dashboard but there are plenty of othe News and information items not related.
sudo fwconsole ma downloadinstall sysadmin --tag=17.0.2.35
$ sudo fwconsole sa disable-deb-update-v13
$ apt-add-repository -L | grep stable
What post?
Exactly.
This post: ⚠ Special Note for Updating FreePBX 17 Installations Following the Release of Debian 13 trixie!
It’s not very prominent and does not show up in the FREEPBX root category on the forum.
There is not top banner or “important” notice at the top.
Also I thought I was “all set” and locked to Debian 12 per my sources.list.
But no.
It still wanted to upgrade to Debian 13.
From my understanding having all set to “bookworm” would accomplish this.
But no. It did not.
Also I did not manually edit this list.
This is how it was from when it was installed.
deb http://debian.uchicago.edu/debian/ bookworm main non-free-firmware
deb-src http://debian.uchicago.edu/debian/ bookworm main non-free-firmware
deb http://security.debian.org/debian-security bookworm-security main non-free-firmware

deb http://debian.uchicago.edu/debian/ bookworm-updates main non-free-firmware
deb-src http://debian.uchicago.edu/debian/ bookworm-updates main non-free-firmware
I’m guessing maybe the main or non-free includes the upgrade to 13?
Agreed.
No. The installer script was adjusted accordingly.
Just re-pinned for the rest of September, thank you for the feedback.
Can you please check files in the /etc/apt/sources.list.d/ directory as well ?
