I’m setting up a second PBX with Flowroute as my SIP Trunk. I’ve setup the trunk in my PBX mirroring the settings on my current operating PBX, but when the trunk registeres with Flowroute it uses some funky port like 13223 instead of 5060/5062. Is there a place in FreePBX to tell it to register on a proper SIP port or is it that my firewall, Netgate is doing something unpredictable?
It’s your firewall.
The current operating “trunk” has probably claimed 5060 on the router, so its NAT logic has a choice of blocking the REGISTER, or sending it with a modified source port. If you need both PBXes as to share a public address, you should set an explicit port number, other than 5060, and preferably set static port forwarding rules. You should also allocate disjoint inbound RTP port ranges, with port forwarding.
The two PBXs are on different LANs with different firewalls. Both are Netgate firewalls.
I’ll have our firewall guy look at it. Thanks
