I just tried loading up the beta FreePBX-1.1007.210.62-i386-Netinstall-1344901064.iso and have been unsuccessful. Specifically, the initial OS install seems to run fine, but when the system reboots the first time, there are typically a few follow-up scripts that run to finish the installation, but this never runs. It doesn’t appear that FreePBX is installed, because when I browse to the IP address of the machine, I just get the Apache HTTP Server Test Page. Also, /var/www/html is empty.
On first boot, the FreePBX install script does not run. No log files exist in /var/log/pbx/install. On first boot, I get the command line to login, nothing else happens.
However, looking at the files in the iso, I see that a file called pbx_first_boot.sh gets copied to the /etc/ directory, and an entry is made in /etc/rc.local to run the script on the first boot. On my machine after install, there is an entry in /etc/rc.local, the last line reads:
/etc/pbx_first_boot.sh
However, that file is not in the /etc/ directory. Apparently this is why the script does not run on first boot and never removes itself from the /etc/rc.local file.
No the issue is you have no /etc/pbx_first_boot.sh. I am trying a netinstall now. I only test the full ISOs as less then 5% of people are using the Net Isos anymore.
