Freepbx basic problems

Hi guys,

Just started using freepbx and am faced with a number of problems:

  1. FreePBX System Status says there are 66 new modules are available. How do I download and install these? Or is this necessary at all?

  2. I get a “symlink from modules failed” with the following message:

retrieve_conf failed to sym link:
/var/www/html/admin/images/delete.gif from endpointman/images
/var/www/html/admin/images/spacer.gif from configeditoradv/images
/etc/asterisk/sip_notify.conf from core/etc
This can result in FATAL failures to your PBX. If the target file exists and not identical, the symlink will not occur and you should rename the target file to allow the automatic sym link to occur and remove this error, unless this is an intentional customization.

  1. I can’t restart asterisk using the command “core restart now” or its variant “core restart gracefully” “core restart when convenient.” It basically maxs out after 600secs with a fatal error.

You might lets us know if you built this by hand or with an ISO?

You should be able to… (in FreePBX) go the module admin and check for updates and install them if you want.
