FreePBX and DDNS

Hi,

We are currently facing an issue with our free pbx. Our PBX is not is the same location as our phones so we are using vpns to connect our phones to the pbx. On that side everything works fine. The problem is that we have a FANVIL page module and the vpn doenst work on it. So the only way to do it was to connect it via out DDNS. The IP adress of our PBX is dynamic so we are using a DDNS to connect. Problem is that I can use it in the Asterisk SIP Setting. Is there anyway to put a host name there instead of an actual IP address ?

On a recent FreePBX, you can use a domain name in Asterisk SIP Settings → External Address.
