FreePBX and Asterisk 1.6

Hi Folks,

Apologies if this is documented somewhere - I had a look but couldn’t find it.

What is the status of running FreePBX with Asterisk 1.6 (instead of 1.4). Is it fully supported now or are there known issues? If there are issues these documented somewhere?

Also, if you do update from 1.4 to 1.6 are there any changes you need to make?

Yes it is supported. There are some issues like the FOP does not support 1.6 yet but other then that it works pretty well.

There are some small bugs that crop up from time to time. And with the 1.6 release they can change and add things from one rev to the next so bleeding edge and beta stuff will be exactly that…

Maybe you could point out the official line from the 30 pages of articles returned?

Perhaps the official line is that yes, most of it will probably work. It would be good to know if that’s the case.

with no problems. When I initially converted from 1.4 to 1.6, I ran into two bugs, one freepbx related and one asterisk related, both of which are long-ago fixed.
