FreePBX an Gigaset N670IP Pro issue: cannot reject call, cannot see caller id string

We recently purchased a pair of Gigase N670 IP Pro base stations to replace the former Gigaset AS690IP base station.

The AS690IP had few CX575HX cordless associated and was working great under FreePBX but we needed to increase the coverage of our facility.

The pair of N670 IP Pro are connected to the LAN and set up as a mini-multicell system. The coverage of the facility is excellent, but we are experiencing some issues with FreePBX.

When the cordless phones are associated to the N670IP base, they exhibit two problems that do not occur when associated to the AS690IP:

  1. Incoming calls only show the caller’s number and not the string sent by FreePBX, which often contains the caller’s name or other identifying strings added by the IVR.

  2. Incoming calls cannot be rejected; the function key does not show the reject label, and the red button does not hang up.

I don’t know if it is relevant, but the N670IP system has been configured to have only one SIP account associated with each cordless phone (no “internal telephony”), with a single PBX profile. I thinks this means no DECT-to-DECT “internal calls” are allowed without going throgh the PBX.

By contrast with AS690IP each cordless had his own DECT-extension number (different from FreePBX extension) and DECT-to-DECT calls by this extension nuber were possible. Each cordless was also able to react to several SIP account.

I would like to know if someone had some similar experience.
