Freepbx 17 New Install Backup Retention Policy Not Working

Greetings, I have read many forum posts hear about this and similar issues. However, what I’m experiencing is slightly different.

I am using SFTP to backup to a NAS. The backups are working. However, the following are the issues I’m experiencing:

  • The backups never show in the “Restore from Cloud” list
  • The backup logs do not show any errors, even at the “performing remote maintenance” step
  • The retention policy never takes effect so backup files keep increasing on the NAS.

I have used SFTP setups on FreePBX 15 and 16 without issues. This is the first time I’ve used it on FreePBX 17. Maybe it’s a Debian related issue? I am also able to connect to my SFTP server via the terminal.

My Backup and Restore module is at version 17.0.5.67.

Thankfully the backups are being transferred to my NAS, however I obviously need the retention policy to work.

Thank you for your advice.

Hi @bholland.

Does the “Test Connection” shows everything OK?

I had a similar issue, but with Dropbox that got fixed when I upgrade to 17.0.5.68. Definitely upgrade.
I didn’t get the available backups appearing in Restore menu as well.

You could also try to recreate the Filestore, if the above doesn’t work.

Hi @bholland ,

We are to reproduce this issue locally & working on it. We have raised github jira to track the task.
