FreePBX 17 Commercial Modules for Ubuntu 22?

I know now FreePBX 17 official support has moved to Debian 12, and from what I read commercial modules are only available for FreePBX Distro. Does that mean Commercial Modules are only available to Debian OS from now on for FreePBX17 and up?

I was able to setup FreePBX 17 following the guide on wiki page on an Ubuntu 22.04 system but seems not able to install neither the System Firewall nor the System Admin Modules with error “The File “/usr/lib/sysadmin/includes.php” must exist.” Is this cause by not installing on Debian OS? Is there a way to install those (commercial) modules on Ubuntu as well?

Hi @cso,

We officially support the use of Debian OS for the development and testing of FreePBX 17. While Ubuntu, being Debian-based, may work, addressing Ubuntu-specific issues isn’t our priority.

The issue you’re encountering is due to missing dependencies, specifically the sysadmin RPM. We recommend using the installation script to install FreePBX 17, as it ensures that all necessary components are correctly installed.

Thanks
Kapil

Thanks @kgupta, is there a way to install sysadmin RPM manually? Seems the installation script doesn’t work on Ubuntu.

you can set the Sangoma debian repo and download the sysadmin17 package. Please refer to install script to see how to setup repo.
