FreePBX 15 Unable to Activate

I have done a fresh bare metal install of FreePBX 15 using the recommended distro. I appear to have successfully configured everything, but I am unable to activate the installation. I go to System Admin and select Activation the Activate and then I get this error:

Activation Error!

Unable to display activation page. Error returned was:

Resolving timed out after 3514 milliseconds

Any sense as to what might be causing this?

Here is the Installation Info:
PBX Version:
PBX Distro:12.7.8-2008-1.sng7
Asterisk Version: 16.11.1

DNS. It’s always DNS…

Almost always - the rest of the time it’s a server that can’t see out and back to the Internet. If your PBX is not reachable from the Internet, you could also see this problem. Note that @PitzKey is right though - most of the time it’s a bad DNS settings jamming you up.

@xrobau says it is not DNS, This can’t be DNS, No No… oh wait it is DNS.

Actually… It is always DNS unless it is NAT…

This time it was routing. That was the issue for me. Once I corrected that, we were activated.
