FreePBX 15 to 17 questions

Hello,
FreePBX amateur here.
I have been running v15 for a long time now. Would like to start using 17 in the next couple weeks.
Simple setup - on premise using Hyper-V
I already spun up a new 17 VM. It installed properly and I am able to log into the web interface.
To make the transition from the old to the new - I’m unsure what steps I need to do in the proper order

  1. Should I activate the new first? Then restore the backup from 15 to 17? Or should I restore before I activate?
  2. Will my letsencrypt SSL be copied over from the old?
  3. Will I be able to change the internal LAN IP address on the new to the same as my old one?
    Any other tips and recommendations will be greatly appreciated.

Answers inline below:

You will want to backup your v15 system, reset hardware lock in portal (if you have any commercial modules, how-to link below), power off 15, power on 17, activate 17, restore to 17.

No

Maybe… but not when they are running at the same time - local DNS might be better option
