We have many FreePBX v15. They all currently run Asterisk 16. It was recommended by FreePBX support engineer to upgrade to Asterisk 18 (not ready to mass upgrade to FreePBX v16). Is anyone running this config? Issues? Require more hardware? Added features? More stable?
Thoughts and insights appreciated.
From the FreePBX point of view there is very little difference between the two versions. Asterisk 16 is about to go security fixes only, so that’s where the recommendation to move to 18 comes from.
