Freepbx 13 only showing only 1 te133

if i reboot everything is ok until I hit restart dahdi again then it back to the above statement

Yes thank you. We understand that. You no longer need to say it.

please run:

su asterisk
/usr/sbin/dahdi_scan

This is when everything is working. Do you want the out when it is broken???

[root@cityhallpbx ~]# su asterisk
bash-4.1$ /usr/sbin/dahdi_scan

I also notice that when i hit restart dahdi and asterisk it takes a long time to pop up the box that says

Restaring DAHDI and Asterisk. Please wait…

I am sorry to say but we are having a very hard time replicating this in the lab. We have three different machines all with different hardware. dahdi_scan on your machine is returning inconsistent results and this is very bad.

I advise you to properly setup your cards once then either

A) uninstall dahdiconfig
B) change the advanced setttings for dahdiconfig writes to false

Either way you will be good to go. Unfortunately you will no longer be able to use the dahdi module.

when the span is undefined and i run the above command I get a blank output

Yes. That IS the problem (as I previously stated). It’s “Undefined” because dahdi_scan is returning nothing. dahdi_scan should ALWAYS return data.

You will need to configure your card manually.

I agree but not sure why… before i did the edge upgrade it was fighting the group number as stated on the first post.

I have check logs and everything that i know to do

We do not know why either which is why we advised you to do this manually

should I report a issue with issues.freepbx.org

No. What we have done here in this ticket is the same thing we would do through issues.freepbx.org. Besides connecting to your machine which we are only allowed to do through commercial support. If you want this solved right NOW you’d have to go through commercial support.

As I said. Running “/usr/sbin/dahdi_scan” should always return output. It should never be returning nothing.

Even this is valid.

[root@dahdidev1 ~]# /usr/sbin/dahdi_scan
Unable to open /dev/dahdi/ctl: No such file or directory

Blank is not.

Ok I have to submit a ticket on monday since they are only open m-f 8-5 cst

When it blanks out (eg /usr/sbin/dahdi_scan returns NOTHING)

Run:

echo $?

Ok I will run that command tommorrow wh I am back at the office.

I ran the command echo $? and got this

[root@cityhallpbx ~]# echo $?
0
[root@cityhallpbx ~]#

when it blanked out and when everything was working normally

@tm1000

I preformed a fresh install from a fresh download from freepbx.org and I updated to all modules and it does the same thing on the new box

running command asterisk -rx ‘pri show spans’
comes back blank

command echo $?

comes back 0

running command
su asterisk **
** /usr/sbin/dahdi_scan comes back blank

dahdi show status

AHDI_SPANCONFIG failed on span 1: No such device or address (6)

Do you know what this does? Do you know why I asked you to run it? I specifically asked you to run that after Dahdi scan outputs nothing. Not at some random time and not after running asterisk commands (which you should not be running because your card isn’t configured)

You’ve got a few options:
1 run the things the I asked in the order I asked.
2 configure the card manually. Uninstall Dahdi config
3 use commercial support.

Things you need to ask
1 why is Dahdi scan returning nothing under the asterisk user
2 why is Dahdi scan returning something when you sudo (are you running this as asterisk I have no idea)
3 why are you even sudoing
4 please use code indentation.

I did like you asked and ran it right after dahdi_scan and no not 100% i know what echo does but not the $?

You did not make that clear in your response.

I was doing this is a test environment using a post that someone posted a similar issue on a asterisk forum.
