Force recording of all calls

This article has some info, but it’s two years old and there is a lot of water under the FreePBX bridge since it was written two years ago.

What we need to do is force all calls (inbound, outbound, ext. to ext.) to be recorded without the option for end users to disable (legal issue). Can anyone offer a brief description for the best way to accomplish this, and also if there is a way to have the system automatically purge recordings old than a year?
