Fax to samba share

I setup (rolled my own) I do not like the Distro, i can not run the license server. just want access to the file.

asterisk-11
freepbx-12

i have fax to email works but want to share the
/var/spool/asterisk/fax directory but it just deletes the file after it emails… so I attempt to go edit /var/lib/asterisk/bin/fax2mail.php and comment out the delete of the file part. I was going to make the folder a simple samba share

but i violated a signature and had to uncomment the edits I made because it does not allow me to edit this file… what the heck happened to open source and freedom to edit and modify for your own personal use??!

can someone make a module that is exactly like https://git.freepbx.org/projects/FREEPBX/repos/fax/browse/bin/fax2mail.php but not delete the file parts.

I looked and do not have a option in the admin user management to keep the file.

The warning is just that. It’s a warning. Doesn’t stop anything from working. If you dont want to see it you can sign your own work for free, without any approval from Sangoma. Sangoma Documentation

This is what the FaxPro module already does.
