My SIP provider messagenet_com has one sip server on sip_messagenet_com port 5061 and 5060
For some reason port 5061 sometimes no longer works. 5060 remains working.

Is there a way to configure a failover sip server / port?

At the moment I have a copy of the trunk named backup where i have only changed the port to port 5060

In the outgoing route I have both trunks in sequence

Is there a cleaner way to do this?

That’s the way I would do it.

Strange. For me (in US) sip.messagenet.com doesn’t resolve at all, with neither A nor SRV records. My messagenet trunk uses sip.messgenet.it:5061 which resolves (A record only) to 212.97.59.76 and AFAIK works reliably.
