Fail2ban CPU 100%

Hello FreePBX experts!

We manage multiple FreePBX cloud instances, and recently, multiple of our instances have been utilizing 100% of the CPU. When we checked with htop, it was these 2 lines that are causing the load:

/usr/bin/python /usr/bin/fail2ban-server -b -s /var/run/fail2ban/
/usr/bin/python /usr/bin/fail2ban-server -b -s /var/run/fail2ban/

What could cause this?

I just found that /var/log/asterisk contains tons of fail2ban undeleted log files. How do I delete them manually? Also how can I make sure they are getting deleted properly automatically like they should?

What is the output of

cat /etc/logrotate.d/asterisk
