Extension Unreachable Randomly

I seems to have an issue with one of my extensions being unreachable “outside” of my internal hosted FreePBX system. By outside I mean I have a VPN connection to another location and have SIP registration/traffic routing through the tunnel. I have also tested this through the FreePBX firwall; ie: bypassing the tunnel and using the Internet; but still have the same issue. The remote side is on Starlink, so the internet could bounce every so often.

Ext. 105 seems to become unreachable randomly and re-register randomly. When this unavailable happens, internet is working at this remote site AND I can place outbound calls just fine. But inbound calls go straight to voicemail. Any thoughts on why this extension would become unavailable for such long period of times (maybe a small isp outage) but not coming right back up? Here is what I see in the logs: (10.0.13.2 is the router on the remote end. and 192.168.10.19 is ext 105 on the remote end)

Interesting, starlink is intrinsically ipv6 and although I don’t have one yet, the IPV6 address awarded is apparently static (duh) . At what point of the internet/your intranet are you building your VPN? Is it well routed both over ipv4 and ipv6?

I haven’t used their IPV6 yet. Just IPV4 which is behind CGNAT. So I am using wireguard to call over to my main network. Which works great. I’m honestly not seeing many drops at all with their service. When the phone is in use it is great audio. So I’m puzzled why it goes unavailable for as long as it does.

Try IPV6 , the address won’t move or be translated (which might well be the delay you experience) IPv6 and wireguard should just eat it up.
