Extension to extension call

Hi,
All my extension is related to a did number/inbound route all going out to a trunk to make call between them. I was looking to make them not take the trunk but dont know how to make them connect via the did number associated to the extention.

Create a trunk to/from localhost and use that to do “internal connections”

How do I do that?
Can it be done via gui of freepbx?

Yes you can do that in the GUI, create a trunk, use 127.0.0.1 as the hostname , you don’t need a username or password or registration string. Consider using [from-internal] as the context if appropriate,
