Every Sunday we are getting Can not connect to asterisk on freepbx server

We are facing the problem from last few weeks Every Sunday we are getting Can not connect to asterisk on FreePBX server, but after restart the asterisk service it is start working normally.

How did you install FreePBX? This doesn’t sound like it is something that could happen with a standard, distro, installation.

Either you have a cron job that is doing a controlled shutdown, or it is crashing, but the code that automatically restarts it after a crash is not there.

Hey David,

We installed the application on Virtual machine and it works normally as expected last many years but from 3 to 4 weeks we are observing this.

Check syslog (/var/log/messages) or kernel log (dmesg). I bet you’re running out of memory and the OS is killing asterisk.

Hi Simon,

The file is not available on above path, can you help me with this to find the correct path.

The location of the file is a function of your operating system distribution. and /var/log/messages is the standard location for Linux systems.

Do you have a file named /var/log/syslog ?
