At the end of restoring process, I get this error:
There were errors during the restore process
Could Not Insert Device::SQLSTATE[22001]: String data, right truncated: 1406 Data too long for column ‘description’ at row 1 on line 123 of file /var/www/html/admin/libraries/utility.functions.php
What about ?
I would look for the extension(s) with long descriptions and try shorten them in v15 and then try again.
Well, I found a lot of extensions with description up to 50-60 characters.
Despite the error , all the names/descriptions are restored.
What could this error cause/affect ?
I saw this too, for some drongo reason, certain sql fields had their fields reduced, this caused us a bit of grief, i think though it happened in other areas, i know the backups didnt copy over because of other changes, it was a nightmare and i recommended to clients do a fresh install, else it will be costly for our time.
