Endpoint upgrade stuck

I have been trying to upgrade endpoint manager from 16.0.86.9 to v. 16.0.89 since the new version was released.

I have tried both the webUI and from the command interface. In both cases, they seem to have upgraded because there are no error messages. But then, I go into the dashboard, and there it is again…the red alert message telling me to upgrade again. When I check again, it seems that every time I try to upgrade it from the WebUI, it shows the "Endpoint Manager 16.0.86.9 will be re-installed to online version 16.0.86.9!!! What’s going on??

I will skip the WebUI method since it seems obvious.

From the command prompt, I have tried all of these commands:

fwconsole ma downloadinstall endpoint --edge

fwconsole ma upgradeall

fwconsole ma upgradeall --force

I went into the WebUI again to see if there’s a system upgrade…there was none.

I have tried rebootin FreePBX 16 to see if the upgrades needed a reboot…that didn’t work either.

My EPM is licensed but I have not kept up with the annual renewals because our firm uses Sangoma IP phones, which do not need a paid EPM

What am I missing and need to be done?

Hi - if you have the commercial version, this would need to be up to date to get the latest version. If you are only using Sangoma phones and would like me to remove that, please DM your deployment ID. I’ll get this taken care of for you.

Thanks. What are you removing? Is the ability to use other branded phones though?
Since we don’t use other phones, I suppose that it won’t matter? We have a perpetual license of EPM – just haven’t kept up with the annual renewals…Is that an option – to renew annuals?

Hi there is an option to renew these – In this case, I would be removing the commercially licensed version. You’ll still be able to provision Sangoma S, D, and P series phones and get any/all updates.

Here’s a link on how to renew commercial modules.

Thanks – since BF is around the corner, I’ll wait 2 months for sale. I don’t think that anyone would hack me in 60 days. I’ll pick up the 25 years for EPM and be done with these hassle.

Please review the mitigation steps- def lock down the admin.

Also, you don’t need to buy the 25 year if you already have it. The renewal is a smaller fee anually. It’s likely much less to renew.

After checking, I do have the 25-year license for EPM! Are you saying that all I need to pay for the renewal? Once renewed, my Deployment’s EPM can then be updated to fix this issue?

My administrator control panel isn’t exposed to the outside. Am I safe?

Probably.

Safe-r
