We have Freepbx 15.0.16.75 with the Digium Phones Config module 15.0.2
I purchased a Digium D65 and the Exp150 Expansion Module.
I am being told by Digium support I have to use DPMA and also create BLF items.
So after some research I understand most of this, but whenever I edit res_digium_phone_devices.conf, nothing happens. I’m trying simple little changes, but I don’t think this is affecting the phones at all.
Am I editing the wrong file? /etc/asterisk/res_digium_phone_devices.conf
I also tried switching to the Endpoint Manager and that seemed to also not work with the Digium Phones (all D40’s and one D65 for the receptionist)
Any help is greatly appreciated.
When you use the Digium Phones Config module, you actually configure the Asterisk-DPMA. I am no expert, but I have two freePBX systems with around 15 Digium/Sangoma D65 phones in use. I deactivated EPM and Phone apps completely in the Module Admin.
Depending on the level of features you want to use, you could either use the easy Digium configuration or the advanced DPMA configuration (which is what I use)…described here…

I currently use the Digium module in the gui, not the easy mode. What files do you edit to configure your phone? How do you edit your vertical and horizontal soft keys? I’m not understanding where the XML files are
it is the advanced DPMA configuration…

In my case it looks like /etc/asterisk/res_digium_phone_devices.conf
Would it just be a small reference like this for the extension?
