Email Quit Working

I am a lawyer whose technical aspirations greatly exceed my technical competencies.

My freePBX machine used to email me with voicemails and faxes… A couple of months ago, it quit working, much to the dismay of the gaggle of shrieking harpies that staff my office and who won’t stop pestering me to fix it. I have both the paid fax module and the paid system admin module installed.

I don’t even know where to start with troubleshooting it and I would greatly appreciate (and pay for) any assistance. It isn’t worth the minimum payment for Sangoma’s tech support.

I charge for my time and I expect to pay for help. If I can’t get anyone here to take pay for helping me… (as some of the knowledgeable hard-heads here have refused to do in the past)… I will happily donate $100 to the charity of choice to anyone who can help me get this fixed.

Go into System Admin and the Email setup. Click on the debug button in the bottom slide out menu, enter an email address to send a test message to. It will show you the output of the mail log and if mail is failing to send, the errors will be in the mail log.

Show us the errors from the mail log.

Tom, thanks for your post.

It looks like it might be some spam filter on my office email server.

RESOLVED

Thanks, Tom.

Why did they over-complicate email debugging by putting a great big “DEBUG” button prominently on the screen like that?! First you have to notice the button, then you have to press the button and THEN you have to read the screen! Too many steps!
