Hi:
I am trying to get FreePBX2.9/Asterisk 1.8/Centos to send out emails (eg. fax attachments) and I can’t find where I can configure the smtp, account names, password, port number (we need to use 587).
Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thank you both for your guidance.
I now understand that you must configure the email functionality independently from the asterisk configuration.
I installed webmin and dovecot (sendmail already installed) to make the configurations easier.
FreePBX uses whatever mail forwarder you have configured on your Linux (or other OS).
