Elastix configuration files

Hello everyone,

I have an old faulty Elastix server and currently installed a new FreePBX server to take place the old one, The issue is that in the old server we lost the administration interface we have access only via CLI Can you please help me to identify the configuration files that I need to chek in order to copy the config to the new server Extensions, outbound routs, inbound, trunks…

Without a backup, you are not going to be able to much. I expect you are going to need to set everything up again the hard way using the GUI, but there are a few things that will help:

  • SIP secrets for trunks and extensions will be in /etc/asterisk/sip_additional.conf
  • any system recording prompts are in /var/lib/asterisk/sounds/custom
  • voicemail recordings are in /var/spool/asterisk/voicemail

If your Elastix system is functional, Click through to the embedded FreePBX GUI ad make a backup with the Backup module listed there.

That will be importable into your new FreePBX 15 system.

Make sure to include the extra directories you have, if any.
