Downloading call recordings?

I’m trying to listen to call recordings, but while I can download my own calls from my user page the system-wide view only seems to want to embed the audio. This is a problem as the recommended plugin is Quicktime, and I’m sure most of you will completely understand when I say that no way in hell is Quicktime ever, ever, EVER getting installed on my system.

I have a perfectly functional WAV player, in fact I have dozens of them, how do I just download the audio for any calls on the system?

recorded calls are in the /var/spool/asterisk/monitor directory under the appropriate date. If you mouse over the speaker icon in CDR reports, it will show the filename which you can reference to find the exact recording.
