Does Source Port Remap Make A Difference

i’m not a veteran with the inner technical ways of VOIP, so i’m consulting the collection of greater knowledge. in a Internet<>Firewall<>PBX architecture, with TCP and UDP 5060 and RTP 10k-20k forwarded to the PBX, does source port remap make a difference? should it be disabled or can it work either way?
