I have a pharmacy client who has signed up for Medtel IVRx system for prescription refills. The public IP that I am supposed to connect to is a multicast address of 233.96.4.101 which is strange enough for me. I didn’t get any other information from them aside from a DNIS digit (client phone number) and a return digit and they are saying that is all I need. When I ask them for further information, they say that is all there is.
233.96.4.101 is not a public IP, it is however route-able but only if every router between source and destination has in place rules for forwarding IGMP traffic on that IP (and pport)
