Displaying the IP address of the wireguard interface when an incoming call is made from a PBX in another office.

Hello everyone! I have two PBX connected between offices via wireguard and connected by an iax2 trunk. The first PBX is freepbx, and the second is elastix. Calls from another office coming to me on freepbx are defined as { “name” 4569:12343 “number” }, and the logs show the address of the wireguard tunnel, but not the name of the trunk to another PBX. I was doing tracert and the path of the packets really follows to the gateway-wireguard interface- the address of another PBX. Where should I look?

Howdy! Welcome to the forums.

Are you trying to modify the Caller ID displayed on your phones ?

Why did you tag this as Security topic ?

Good afternoon! I think it’s because of the firewall. The trunk from another PBX connected via wireguard is displayed in the logs not by the trunk name but by the ip address of the wireguard connection.

Because having modeled the situation of connecting my two PBX in the same local network, there was no such thing. Trunk names were displayed in the logs. Perhaps the reason for the wireguard connection and the firewall, I do not know…
