Has anyone had any success with Dish Network calling home over VOIP? with FreePBX?
Just wondering if there is a setting I can change to make the call successful, I am not really wanting to network the devices and My Hardwire phone line via a Cisco ATA 188 is already rolled out.

Never had a whole lot of luck sending data over a VoIP line. Looks like you’re going to have to bite the bullet and put it on the network.

That is what I was kinda thinking… I was wondering if there was a more stable codec for sending data, home alarm system is the same way. All said an done, with the costs of running a PBX, it might be an viable option to drop it and go back to a hardwired landline again.
Been fighting with this for a while now, I can live without the Dish issue, but the house alarm is kinda critical.
