Disabling call recording

I just installed my freePBX, and all the extensions , etc ,etc.
and by default it is recording every call. I need disable this for legal reason. now I’m not sure how I set it up to do this , which is making it so I can’t figure out how to un do this . any help is appreciated.

You can disable it in the extension settings for each extension or you may have set it on the inbound route. You can set call recording to “never” on each inbound route as well.

Thank you , that is what I wound up doing , I was hoping there was a more global way of doing it.

You can also set “Extension Recording Override” in General Settings. This overrides the individual extension “Record Always” setting and if W and/or w are not set Dial command options this will stop on demand records as well.
