Digium D80 Status Error

Did some more D80 / EPM testing this morning.

I disabled Digium Phone module again. Factory Reset the D80, in EPM>Extension Mapping I added an extension and selected the Digium D80 template and entered the MAC of the D80…At this point I DID NOT enable DPMA in EPM>Global Settings.

Powered up the phone and obviously it did not automatically provision because DPMA was not enabled. It was seeing an incorrect Provisioning server IP and Port. I selected to Manually configure Provisioning server and entered the correct server address and port. It then worked perfectly, provisioned and “STATUS” was working properly just like it did when using the Digium Phones module…

New problem when provisioning the D80 as stated above…When you go to Digium template to configure line keys…The list of Digium phones stops at D70??? WTF! The ONLY way to get D80 to pop up in the Digium template configuration, you HAVE to enable DPMA in EPM>Global Settings. Once you do that, the D80 model pops up in the Digium template configurator…BUT, once you do that, you then get the yellow triangle in the top right corner of the D80 and “STATUS” “No Status option to choose from.”

If you ignore the “STATUS” issue, and configure line keys…none of the Apps work, and BLF doesnt work. Only line key setting that works is “LINE”. Grr this D80 is proving to be useless or no better than any other phone Ive used for simplicity of configuration and Line key programming. S705 is the only one that has worked as advertised so far… Super frustrating when Digium is a Sangoma product.
