Digest fax logs

Running FreePBX 2.11 and Asterisk 11.6 installed from the FreePBX Distro.

The setup is a small office with 20 SIP extensions, 1 analog extension, and 7 analog POTs lines. 2 TDM410 cards with DAHDI.

One of the analog POTs line is dedicated for faxing and incoming calls on it are forwarded to 666 right away. All other lines will try to detect fax and go into receiving fax if the incoming call is detected to be a fax.

Faxing is working ok. All incoming faxes are sent to an e-mail address.

What I need to do is create a cron job that sends a daily digest of all the faxes received that day. If anyone has already written a script like that and wouldn’t mind sharing, that would be great.

Second question is can I have fax related activity get logged to a dedicated fax.log file in addition to the “full” log?

There is this thread on the other forum which details how to automatically generate and email a daily CDR report. You need to change the query to only select calls to/from extension 666 and change details as necessary for your specific distro.
