What’s the current recommended Asterisk version to be running with Distro 16?
The one it defaults to.
16.24.0
I vote for Asterisk 18, since it’s the latest LTS version. And supposedly it will get one day the automatic codec negotiation functionality.
anyone know the difference between 16 and 16 “Certified?”
Certified sees fewer releases a year, undergoes additional testing to certify the specific release, does not receive bug fixes unless a support agreement customer has an issue, and is generally behind.
Certified 16 will be EOL in the future, as a Certified 18 release will be happening.
