Configuring line visibility and barging?

I’d like to configure my Grandstream 2160 phone to show the status of other inbound calls and be able to barge in on them (either to take them off hold, or to join a chat with an agent).

I have only two extensions, but those extensions can support multiple simultaneous conversations.

The other extension is serviced by a Yealink W56P which has 2 handsets and can service up to 4 simultaneous conversations on the one account.

Do I have to create multiple extensions / accounts for each conversation I wish to see the status of, and log in using both devices to the same accounts?

Asterisk works with channels, not lines. Standard BLFs in FreePBX is monitoring the device state.

To barge, you’ll need to dial a feature code or an extension with a custom dialplan.
