Configuring FreePBX Phone System 40 appliance

I have a new FreePBX phone system 40 appliance. I was under the impression that DHCP was supposed to be enabled on it by default, but it doesn’t show up on my DHCP server. How do I get into it to see what the issue is. I have plugged a cable into the console port and into the ethernet port on my laptop, but I don’t get any activity.

Any help would be appreciated.

Why don’t you plug a monitor, keyboard and mouse into it?
