Configuration for Cisco 8841 Phone

I am testing out FreePBX as my company may be looking to move over to an Asterisk platform from Cisco Communications Manager. We have a large number of 8841 phones that are not part of the auto distribution in FreePBX. I pulled the config here from CUCM and was hoping someone here has used them and could recommend modifications for it to work with Freepbx.

Your config file got munged by the system, so it’s pretty unreadable.

The 8841 is a SIP phone, so you should be able to add your SEPxxMACxxxxx.cnf file in your TFTP service (which may need to be turned on) and the phone should configure as one would hope. When you get some specifics about what isn’t working, let us know.

For example, are you seeing the phone try to connect? Do you have the extension set up? Let us know what kinds on actual problems (instead of vague “it doesn’t work” messages) and we should be able to help you troubleshoot from there.
