Cisco Unified IP Conference Station 7936 with SIP firmware of Polycom SoundStation IP 4000

Yersterday i have found a Cisco IP Conference Station 7936 for a cheap deal.

Cisco IP Conference Station 7936 is actualy a Polycom SoundStation IP 4000 rebranded with the logo and software of Cisco
(and the price tag :wink: )

Now the Cisco 7936 use only SCCP of cisco no sip firmware aviable on there download site.

I was wondering if you could use the SIP software of the “maker” Polycom to “restore” it with there sip software

With the goal to use it on a freePBX :wink:

Any idea’s ?

I would very much like to do this as well. I have 2 Cisco ip 7936 conference stations collecting dust. Please help!
