I’m using some Avaya 9608 phones with freepbx and am wondering if anyone has been able to change/add the display name in the top left corner of the phone. In the picture I’ve attached it says ‘201’ and I’d like it display a person’s name instead, or along with the extension number. I’d also like to be able to rename the line descriptions on the softkeys on the right. I’ve attempted to do this with SET EXTENSION_NAME_DISPLAY_OPTIONS in the 46xxsettings.txt file, but it doesn’t seem to work. I’m using the phones with SIP firmware. Does anyone know if this is possible? Thanks in advance.
