Change call recordings format to more compressed to take up less space?

Currently calls get recorded in wav file format with each recording taking up several megabytes.
On other systems I’m used to there being an option to change the recording file format to something more compressed so it takes up half the space of wave files
Any way to do this?

Note that .wav, for Windows, is a container format, and compressed audio can still be in .wav format. Asterisk treats the file extension specially, with .wav being 8kHz mono, 16 bit signed linear, and .WAV being 8kHz standard rate GSM. Windows will look at the metadata in the file to determine the encoding.

Thank you, that setting in Advanced Settings>Call Recording Format was just what I needed.
