Carrier blocking international Caller Display is there anyway to get round blacklist?

Hi,

we’ve been recieving quite a few nuesance phone calls which are either pre-recorded messages from banks or insurance firms or calls trying to sell us things or “fix” our computers…

I’ve activated Caller Display on my PSTN line and got it working with FreePBX (distro). I get the CID pushed to both SIP and POTS phones (have got an OpenVox A400P fxo/fxs card) which is fine. My carrier however doesn’t show the CID’s from international numbers as the signalling is different.

Is there anyway to either allow certain international numbers through or detect the CID’s?

I’m guessing my only option is to disable the blacklist and let all calls come through but I’m not sure that I want to do that.

Perhaps there is a way to send any “blocked or unknown” number directly to voicemail?

Could anyone suggest anything?

I’m running FreePBX version 2.10.1.2!

Thanks.
