Can't transfer a call to voicemail,

I am unable to transfer a call to voicemail

I have in the features_general_custom.conf file

atxfernoanswertimeout = 60

Its like its not pickup up this setting or i’m doing some wrong . After about 3 rings, the call returns to me.

You can transfer a call directly to a voicemail box by transferring the call to *NNNN where NNNN is the extension of the voicemail boxes owner.

But would like it to ring them first, if they don’t answer go to voicemail

I would use an in-call attended transfer (*2), if it gets to voicemail, then you hangup.
