Can't get to the FreePBX URL after first install

Newbie here…

I’ve followed these directions, only with some minor tweeks for Suse:
http://www.aussievoip.com/wiki/index.php?page=freePBX-2.1beta1Install

And I followed these points:
http://www.aussievoip.com/wiki/index.php?page=freePBX-SuSE

Took a while, but finally got through it (BTW - I’ll have a “install freePBX on SLED 10 for dummies” guide available as soon as I get past this final hurdle)

So now I’m trying to get to the URL after starting things up and I can’t get there.

To start everything I do:

# service apache2 restart
Syntax OK
Shutting down httpd2 (waiting for all children to terminate) done
Starting httpd2 (prefork) done
# amportal restart

STOPPING ASTERISK
Asterisk ended with exit status 0
Asterisk shutdown normally.

Disconnected from Asterisk server
Asterisk Stopped

STOPPING FOP SERVER
-su: line 1: 4520 Killed /var/www/panel/safe_opserver
FOP Server Stopped
SETTING FILE PERMISSIONS
Permissions OK

STARTING ASTERISK
Asterisk Started

STARTING FOP SERVER
FOP Server Started
#

in Mozilla Foxfire, after entering http://host-name , since I used hostname instead of IP address when I ran install_amp, I get:

Access forbidden!

You don’t have permission to access the requested directory. There is either no index document or the directory is read-protected.
If you think this is a server error, please contact the webmaster.

Error 403

host-name
Fri Oct 20 18:31:34 2006
Apache/2.2.0 (Linux/SUSE)

I’m definitely new to this, so any help on how to make it work will be greatly appreciated.

PHP5 should work, if you have reports them ROB as bugs
but first make sure you do have the needed packages installed

(I use php 4.x) it just acts more stable…

Thanks, I’ve re-run install_amp and given it IP instead of host name. That should fix it, except I also have the PHP5 problem(see PHP5 post)

1 problem at a time

OK It was was Asking for FQDN and that is just to write the conf
has nothing to do with how you access it.
