Cannot login to Softphone through FreePBX *AWS (SOLVED)

Hi. I used the AWS Image of FreePBX yesterday, installation was clean and without problems.

I setted up yesterday the outbound and inbound options for my trunk, also the connectivity trunk…
(I followed the gotrunk guide: freepbx/)

The only problem I think I am facing is when trying to connect to the softphone I have no success, I went to Applications > Extensions and created a user there but still not worked, also went to Asterisk SIP settings and enabled Network detecttion as I am using an AWS static IP but still not working, any idea to connect correctly to the client and start making the calls? Thanks…

Does your security group have all the ports open… specifically for this extension 5160

Typically 5060, 5160, 10000-20000udp

It does. I think all ports are correct the security group was created with AWS automatically.

Does any one know if I maybe need to change some firewall settings?

You created a chan_sip extension. Why? If you don’t have a strong reason, change it to a pjsip extension by using Change SIP Driver on the Advanced tab.

Otherwise, configure your softphone to register to port 5160. If you still have trouble, report what (if anything) appears in the Asterisk log when the softphone attempts to register.

It worked! I tried it before I dont know why it didnt! I tested my calls and they working thanks!!!

I know nothing about GoTrunk, but it’s very common for free trials to have restrictions on caller ID (and others).

However, I would assume that if you have a trial incoming number with them, you should be able to send that number as caller ID.

Possibly, if an unexpected number is being sent, they are inserting a default because the number you are sending is not in a format they consider valid.

I bought the CallerID extension, thats why the question.
